Spirit Week comes to Penn State Harrisburg January 21 through 25!
Organized and hosted by the newly established Blue and White Society on campus, Spirit Week will give faculty, staff, and students the opportunity to show their Penn State pride and maybe even win a prize.
Spirit Week kicks off Tuesday, Jan. 22 with a big Pep Rally in the Capital Union Building from 8 to 10 p.m. The event will include games, prizes, and recognition of the fall intercollegiate sports teams – including the men’s and women’s basketball squads.
The festivities will include a three-point shootout with prizes going to the winners. Participants must register at the door prior to the event to have a chance to join the shootout.
Wednesday, Jan. 23 will be Spirit Day on campus with everyone encouraged to wear their blue and white in a show of support for the basketball squads as they prepare to host Philadelphia Biblical University in a 6 p.m. conference doubleheader Thursday evening in the CUB.
And on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Blue and White Society members will man a table in the Olmsted Lobby where faculty, staff, and students can register for a raffle to win a prize at halftime of both Thursday games. You must be present to win the prize if your name is drawn.
The Blue and White Society is the student contingent of the Penn State Alumni Association – the largest dues-paying alumni association in the world. The Penn State Harrisburg Society already has 142 members and is seeking more students to fill its ranks. Membership in the Society carries a number of benefits.
