Faculty member named editor of new journal

Penn State Harrisburg Professor of Management and International Business Refik Culpan is editor of the newly created International Journal of Strategic Business Alliances.

Published by Insider Science Publishers, the journal will be available in print four times per year and also online. The publication "aims to foster the creation and dissemination of knowledge on strategic business alliances from various perspectives including economic, organizational, and strategic management." The publication is geared to establish channels of communication among researchers, managers, consultants, policy makers, and others interested in strategic alliances in business.

Dr. Culpan has been a faculty member in Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Business Administration for more than 20 years, teaching organizational behavior and development, strategic management, and international management at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He has also taught in Europe and Turkey and has held executive positions in business.

His publications include three books, numerous journal articles, and book chapters. The recipient of the college’s Award for Excellence in Teaching, he also serves as a consultant for business firms, nationally and internationally.
