The Capital Players, Penn State Harrisburg’s student theatrical organization, is bringing the popular musical “Godspell” to the Olmsted Auditorium April 24 through 27.
Open to the public, performances will be at 8 p.m. April 24, 25, and 26 with a 2 p.m. matinee on April 27. Tickets at $5 for students and senior citizens and $8 for the general public are on sale daily in Stacks Market of Olmsted Building. For information, phone 948-6470.
Directed by adjunct faculty member Jim Johnson, “Godspell” features the talents of 10 Penn State Harrisburg undergraduate students. Heading the cast as “Jesus” is Maurice Blackmon. Other ensemble cast members include: Berreka Banks, Layla Dideban, Lindsay Martin, Lisa Mei, Sarah Scholl, Kervens Dorcely, Steven Howell, Philip Narsh, and Eric Stump.
Students Kayma Freeman, Julie Dauber, and Sam Anderson are assisting with backstage and technical aspects of the production and a four-piece band will provide music for the performances.
