Seven SDCET students earn scholarships

Seven Penn State Harrisburg undergraduate students majoring in Structural Design and Construction Engineering Technology have each been awarded $2,500 scholarships by the Associated General Contractors of America.

The seven scholarships, awarded annually until the students graduate, are the second most awarded nationally to any college or university. Only the University of Washington, with eight, surpassed the Penn State Harrisburg total.

Longtime coordinator of the SDCET program, Dr. Joseph Cecere, estimates more than 50 Penn State Harrisburg students have benefited from AGC scholarships.
