Through the generosity of Alumni Society Board member Ron Bittner ’86, Penn State Harrisburg students took advantage of April campus seminars during which guest speakers share information on how to make informed financial decisions.
Bittner, senior pension compliance consultant with Trollinger Consulting Group in Allentown, provided the funding for the series with the donation to the sponsoring student Finance Club and the Alumni Society.
The presenters in the seminars covered a variety of financially focused topics with the students, including credit cards, loans, 401Ks, and the stock market. Each session also featured a question-and-answer session.
Presenters included: Bittner; Ryan Christiansen, financial services associate with Prudential Financial in Camp Hill; Lisa Shaffer, vice president and supervisor with Commerce Bank; Miro Gojmerac ’98, manager with Commerce Bank, and Reggan Walker, regulatory business analyst with the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency.
