Olmsted window replacement project

May 14, 2008

The college Office of Physical Plant reports the project to replace all windows on the south face of Olmsted Building will begin Friday, May 16. In order to be ready for fall semester, the contractor is under a very tight schedule.

As the work progresses through each area, we are asking that you help us provide an area in front of all windows for offices and classrooms. We ask that each faculty and staff member remove all personal items from their office so that nothing is damaged. The contractors will require a four-foot area to do the work necessary to complete this project on time. Furniture which must be removed from this area will be moved by Physical Plant employees.

Access to your offices during the construction is available. However, you may find the conditions (noise, dirt, and congestion) are not conducive to work. During some of these time periods you may want to locate a more suitable work area. We recognize that this will be an inconvenience for the time period when the work is in your area. We thank you in advance for your understanding and assistance in helping with this upgrade to the Olmsted Building and we look forward to having new, modern, energy-efficient windows.

Please review the schedule below to see when your area is listed for window replacement. We ask that you have all of your personal items removed from the four-foot work area around the windows prior to the start date for your office.

This project will impact anyone with an office on the south side of Olmsted.

The process for the replacement of the windows will be as follows:
