Lion Ambassadors hold various community and campus events throughout the year, as well as assist with Admissions events. There is always something to do!
Lion Ambassadors are always recruiting! When we're helping the office of Admissions by doing a tour or answering questions as part of a student panel, we mention our club and how to become part of it. We also make our presence known at campus events such as Club Fest or various Open Houses.
Lion Ambassadors are the Penn State alumni of the future, and we work closely with the office of Alumni Relations. We help out at, and attend, events held by the Alumni Office.
Lion Ambassadors have the opportunity to organize projects, take on responsibilities and act as leaders for the Club, this campus, and the University. As members meet a variety of people, they develop their communication skills. Individuals also learn how to organize their time more efficiently. As the Club strives for excellence, every Lion Ambassador gives energy, enthusiasm and commitment to achieve the goals of the Club. Participation in the Lion Ambassador/Blue and White Society Conference gives members valuable opportunities to build lifelong skills.
While Lion Ambassadors work hard, they also enjoy their experiences. From organizing their involvement with other campus club initiatives to leading a campus tour to working with the office of Admissions, Lion Ambassadors spread Penn State pride. As emblems of their pride, the Club participates in the Student Government Association's Clubs Fest and Rites of Spring activities every year, as well as their own annual Boobies Ball - a dance to raise money for breast cancer research. The honor of helping the campus host international visitors, welcome new students, dedicating new buildings, ushering inaugurations and other major special events is a great source of pride and enthusiasm for the Lion Ambassadors.
