
GANSEVOORT, NY - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announces student-athlete of the week
selection for week ending Sunday, December 14, 2008 in the sport of women´s basketball. SANDRA ADAMES (Pontiac, MI)
was selected, as the NEAC Women´s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week. Adames, a 5´11" senior center for
the Penn State University Harrisburg Nittany Lions, was selected for her strong offensive performance for the week leading her
team to a 1-0 week. Adames finished the week with 21 points (21/game), 15 rebounds (15/game), 2 assists, 2 blocks, 1 steal, and a
.667 shooting percentage. Adames recorded her eighth double-double in nine games and receives this award for the second time this

MIDDLETOWN, PA - The Penn State Harrisburg men´s basketball team collected their third win on the season in exciting style with a 64-59 home victory against Keuka College on Saturday afternoon. Coming off their victory, the Nittany Lions faced off against SUNY-IT Sunday afternoon in which they fell 79-67. The Nittany Lions improve to 3-5 overall as they split their weekend contests. The Keuka Storm drop to 2-2 overall while the SUNY-IT Wildcats improve to 5-2 overall. In Saturday´s matchup the Lions jumped on Keuka early, leading the Storm 13-8 in the first five minutes of the game. MIDDLETOWN, PA - The Penn State Harrisburg women´s basketball team dropped two games this weekend
against North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) opponents, Keuka College and SUNY-IT; 63-41 and 59-49 respectively. The Lady
Lions fall to 4-4 overall with the Keuka Storm grabbing their first win on the season (1-4) while the SUNY-IT Wildcats improve
to 5-3 overall. In Saturday´s matchup Penn State Harrisburg grabbed the quick lead with a three pointer off the hands
of freshman guard, Amaris Gardner (Bayside/Virginia Beach, VA). Although the Lady Lions had a speedy start,
the Storm showed why they were 13-3 against NEAC opponents last year going on a 13-2 run in the span of 6:52 minutes.
