The Training and Development profession focuses on analyzing and improving employee learning and performance. It encompasses such activities as performance analysis, training, career development, organization development, and program evaluation

The Training and Development Program at Penn State Harrisburg is the only one of its kind in central Pennsylvania. It is designed to prepare training and development professionals for a broad range of professional roles involved with enhancing employee learning and performance. Such roles include performance analyst, program designer, trainer, organization development consultant, process analyst, and program evaluator. Graduate study in the Training and Development program may lead toward a certificate in Training and Development and/or a masters degree in education.
