Penn State Harrisburg participates in a number of Job Fairs during the Academic Year. Cumberland Valley Consortium Teacher Fair - Thursday, November 15, 2007, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. at the College Union Building on the campus of Gettysburg College, Gettysburg PA. Students and alumni from the member colleges (Penn State Harrisburg is a member college) may participate in the fair.
Middle Atlantic Association for Employment in Education Teacher Fair: Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at the Doubletree Hotel - Pittsburgh City Center, Pittsburgh, PA from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Sponsored by the Middle Atlantic Association for Employment in Education Open to all teacher candidates (a $5 participation fee will be charged at the door).
Cumberland Valley Consortium (CVC) Job/Intern Fair: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at the Eisenhower Conference Center, Gettysburg, PA. This is a chance to meet with representatives from business, non-profit and governmental organizations. Click on the "See which employers" link for the list. Make sure you keep checking the list, as it will be updated until the day of the Fair.
Central Pennsylvania Employment Consortium (CPEC) Job/Intern Fair: Radisson Penn Harris Hotel and Convention Center, Camp Hill, PA, Tuesday, February 19, 2008 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.. Co-sponsored by Penn State Harrisburg and fourteen other colleges and universities. Over 100 companies and organizations recruiting for full-time, co-op and internships.
Spring Career Day 2008-- Penn State University is sponsoring a Spring Job Fair that will attract 200 plus employers! The event is being held on three days this year -- the Career Planning Conference for Multicultural Students and Multicultural Networking Dinner on Sunday, February 17; Finance, Management, Marketing and Liberal Arts Recruiting on Monday, February 18; and Computer Technology, Engineering, Research, and Science Recruiting on Tuesday, February 19. The Multicultural events will be held from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Nittany Lion Inn and the Career Day events will be held at the the Bryce Jordan Center, University Park, from 11:00 am to 4:00 p.m. each day. For additional information and an updated list of the companies attending the fair visit the website which will be viewable in December 2007. Please note: some organizations may schedule interviews for Wednesday, February 20, to be held at the BJC.
Penn State Education Career Day, Monday, April 7, 2008, from 9am-4:30pm at Penn State University, PA (Penn Stater Conference Center). Format of the day: 9am-1pm (open fair); 10am-4:30pm (interviews). The event is open to all candidates (PSU students/alumni may attend beginning at 9am; non-PSU candidates may attend beginning at 11am). Teacher Recruitment Day (TRD): Links to the school districts participating in the 22nd Annual TRD, Thursday, April 10, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Pucillo Gymnasium at Millersville University. This is an opportunity for education majors who are seeking teaching positions to meet with representatives from over 90 school districts from across the nation.
