To prepare effectively for the job search, you need to know as much as possible about the organizations that interest you, where you might "fit", and the opportunities that exist. Employers perceive "researching the company" as a critical factor in the evaluation of applicants because it reflects interest and enthusiasm. In the interview it establishes a common base of knowledge from which questions can be asked and to which information can be added, thus enabling both the applicant and the interviewer to evaluate the position match more accurately.

You may pick-up your "free" copy in the Career Services Office located in Olmsted, W-117. You may also want to browse the "employer literature section" in the Career Services Library, reference books such as Standard and Poor's Register, or the numerous directories that are published.
