The Accounting Club's mission is to promote a better understanding of the accounting profession.  The club accomplishes this goal by sponsoring guest speakers from public accounting and industry, hosting accounting seminars and workshops to discuss current trends in accounting, organizing networking and social events, providing community service, and planning field trips to experience the world of accounting beyond the classroom.

Club Description

The Accounting Club is comprised of approximately 30-40 members.  The members are current students of PennState Harrisburg's School of Business Administration and include accounting, finance, and other business majors who wish to gain a better understanding of accounting.  Each Fall semester the club works with career services to host a resume writing workshop and a Nittany Lion Recruiting workshop for students searching for internships and entry level accounting positions.  The club also sponsors an Alumni panel to introduce student to the broad range of accounting careers and provide networking opportunities.  In the Spring, the club volunteers in the audit room for the March of Dimes.
