Microcomputer Laboratory (Room E206)

This laboratory is located on the second floor of the Olmsted Building. This room has 12 Pentium II and 8 Pentium III computers, with SVGA monitors, at least 128 Meg RAM, 3.5 inch disk drives, 100 MB ZIP drives, 4.3 GB or larger hard disks, and shared printers. These computers are connected to an ethernet network with a pentium computer used as a server for the network. The pentium computer has 4GB of disk space arranged as 2GB primary HD space with 2GB acting as a mirror of the primary HD. The server is also protected with an uninterruptiable power supply. The server computer is housed in an adjoining room, E204, that is also used for microcomputer repair and for a small group or faculty projects room. These two rooms occupy 1250 square feet of floor space. The laboratory can accommodate 20 students with each having a microcomputer.

EET/EE students also have access to the CAD/SDCET computer laboratory, a SUN computer laboratory, the Whitaker computer laboratory, and the College computer facilities located on the third floor of the Olmsted Building.
