Environmental Pollution Control Program

Student Petitions

In planning the academic program it is expected that students will select courses from the available list within each of the four environmental core groups plus the Recommended Course List (Appendix C). Any exception to these requirements or other academic policies may be considered only by petition. A sample petition form appears in Appendix D. In all cases, a petition must be submitted as early as possible so that the student has time to develop alternative plans if the petition is denied. All petitions must be approved by the student’s adviser and the EPC Program Chair. Copies of completed petitions will be kept on file in the EPC office and with the student’s adviser. Filed petitions will be the student’s proof of permission to deviate from standard protocol.
