Summary Schedule for M.E.P.C. Degree

It is the student's responsibility that all requirements are met in a timely manner using the following schedule.

If appropriate, transfer credits from undergraduate or post-baccalaureate program

Faculty Adviser/Program Chair

End of first semester

Prepare Program of Study Form (list of Courses to comprise graduate program)

Student with Faculty Adviser Assistance

By end of first semester

(Submit form to EPC Office)

Prepare Paper Proposal Form for faculty adviser and select paper reader(s)

Student

To be submitted to the EPC Office prior to informing the Grad School of intent to graduate

Inform Graduate Recorder 814-863-9000 of the intention to graduate

Student

Beginning of semester or summer session in which degree is expected

Submit draft copy of paper to faculty adviser and EPC office

Student

Early in final semester

Distribute copies of final draft to readers

Student

AFTER the paper has been approved by faculty adviser

Submit final copy of paper to adviser, paper reader(s), EPC Chair, and affiliating department (if required) NOTE: EPC Chair is last signatory.

Student

At least one week prior to Graduate School deadline

Return all departmental keys, books, software, supplies, etc. to the appropriate individual

Student

Prior to departure

Provide one bound copy of paper* to the EPC Program Office, any reader who has requested one, and your department of affiliation (if required)

Prior to departure

*High quality photocopies are required for your paper. Suitable copying techniques must be used for photographs and pages where photocopying gives insufficient detail.
