The training center contains multimedia classrooms and pilot and analytical labs that offer:
- ETP (Environmental Training Partnership) courses
- DEP-sponsored courses
- DEP staff training
- SPWSTAC courses
- Outsourced coursework
- Professional training
- Academic training
The Environmental Training Center at Penn State Harrisburg is a PA DEP preapproved sponsor for water and wastewater operator training. This approval stems from a pilot of the PA DEP training approval process. Our approval allows the center to submit training courses to PA DEP under the Pennsylvania water and wastewater operator traning program, which enables the center to offer courses that will count toward operator continuing education and precertification experiences under the new legislation.
