Introduction to Conventional Filtration: This workshop will incorporate the use of the pilot unit at Penn State Harrisburg. The pilot unit simulates a conventional water treatment process and assists operators in understanding the principals and concepts of surface water treatment. This course is designed to be hands-on and interactive and all participants will take part in starting up, and operating the plant, and backwashing the filter. (0.6 CEU's - Continuing Education Units)
