1. Install the Cisco VPN Client from

- Download the Cisco Virtual Private Network(VPN) software which establishes a secure connection between your laptop and Penn State's VPN server and enables you to connect wirelessly to network.

- Click on Mac OSX appropriate version and enter your Penn State user ID and password.

- Save to a convenient location such as your Desktop.

2. Installing the Cisco VPN

- Click on the file you have just downloaded (vpnclient.win.exe) and double click on it.

- Run the setup and carefully read the license agreement before proceeding.

- Save to the default folder or browse to desired folder and remember the location.

- Choose the option to restart your computer. (Note: Rebooting will close the browser window so Bookmark this page or remember the site address)

3. Configure the Cisco VPN

- Go to Start -->All Programs--> Cisco Systems VPN Client --> choose VPN Client

- For easier use you can create a short on the desktop by right clicking on the VPN client icon -->Sent to -->Desktop.

- Open VPN Client, from the list choose "ITS Wireless at Harrisburg" and on the top hit Connect.

- Enter your Penn State User ID and Password, and there you are connected.

- Disconnect the VPN client when you are done by right clicking on VPN Client icon and choose Disconnect.
