Portable DVD Player
Lending Policies
Portable
DVD players are available at the circulation/reserves desk for loan
to registered students, faculty, and staff. Two portable DVD players are available
on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved ahead
of time. Portable DVD players may be used at any location within the Penn
State Harrisburg Library except the Morrison Gallery and the
CyberCafé. Portable DVD players are not permitted to leave the library
premises for any reason.
- Students,
faculty, and staff must present a valid Penn State
photo ID card to borrow portable DVD players. Borrowers
must be in good standing with the University Libraries, with a current
address on file and no overdue fees for outstanding library
materials.
- Portable DVD players
must be returned to a staff member at the circulation/reserves
desk 30 minutes before the library closes on the
same day on which the DVD player was borrowed.
- When a
portable DVD player is returned to the circulation/reserves desk, it will
immediately be discharged and prepared for use by the next borrower. The library
will not "hold" a signed-out DVD player while a
borrower leaves the library.
- Portable DVD players
not returned to the circulation/reserves desk before the library closes will
be subject to overdue fees of $1.00/hour for
each hour overdue, including overnight. Portable DVD players not returned
within 24 hours will be presumed lost and replacement
fees of $300, in addition to overdue fees, may be
assessed.
- The borrower of a
portable DVD player assumes full responsibility for damage, loss, or theft. If damage
occurs to the DVD player or any of its components or accessories, charges for repair
or replacement will be imposed.
You are responsible
for any portable DVD player borrowed on your card. Do not leave a DVD player
unattended at any time. Report any problems with the DVD player
to the circulation/reserves desk as soon as possible.
