The Holocaust and Genocide Collection at the Penn State Harrisburg Library consists of classic and scholarly works by leading historians in the field, as well as personal accounts. Works include general histories, reference sources, documents, juvenile books, curriculum materials, and conference proceedings, in all formats: monographs, encyclopedias, video recordings, DVDs, compact discs, and microforms.

Subject areas covered in the collection include works on ghettos, concentration camps, resistance, liberation, survivors, children of survivors, diaries, memoirs, biographies, non-Jewish victims, Righteous Gentiles, theology, post-war trials, and reparations. Photographic studies, art, music, fiction, poetry, and drama are also contained in the collection. Genocide titles focus on Armenia, Cambodia, Rwanda, and Bosnia. These materials support courses in Holocaust studies, history, education, humanities, psychology, religion, ethics, public affairs, and women's studies.

The collection has expanded as a result of generous Capital Campaign donations from the community. From these donations, a permanent Holocaust and Genocide endowment was established to ensure that the collection will continue to grow in perpetuity.
