Advising and Course Registration
The SDCET Program provides broad and flexible programs of study. Students should take an active role in course selection. Course scheduling, program planning, and the successful completion of graduation requirements are the ultimate responsibility of students.
Faculty assume a critical role in helping students set short-term academic goals each semester; they also help develop academic strategies to meet students' long-term career objectives. Before registration begins each semester, students are encouraged to meet with academic advisors to decide on courses, review degree audits, check progress toward graduation, and discuss the suitability of other educational opportunities. Faculty advisors are generally available on a walk-in basis during posted office hours; students may also ask questions and schedule appointments by telephone or email.
